Safe Communities
Our kids deserve a school curriculum that includes arts, civics, financial literacy, and STEM. I’ll fight for after-school programs that provide life and career skills. We need to improve community-police relations, ensure accountability, and work to prevent crime. We have to address poverty and ensure young people have access to jobs and community based programs.
City Services and Small Businesses
We have to invest in pothole and street repairs, trash pick-up and recycling, and snow removal. This will improve quality of life and help the economy by creating good paying local jobs. My passion is supporting small businesses and entrepreneurship. I’ll fight to loosen unnecessary regulations and provide grants and technical assistance to small businesses.
We need to stabilize rents, and hold out of town developers accountable for putting profits over people. We can create pathways to affordable homeownership by helping families with down payment assistance, and securing low interests loans. We have to save seniors money on property taxes, invest in senior activities, and ensure they can live safely and with dignity.

Public Transit and the Environment
I’ll use my City and State experience to fight for West-East Rail, and a fare-free PVTA with expanded hours and routes. This will create jobs and boost the economy. We have to address Springfield’s air and water quality, and protect its parks and open spaces. We can save residents money and improve the environment by investing in renewable energy like solar.
